Thinking of Drinking: Top 13 Spots for Outdoor Drinks

I love sitting outside in nice weather to enjoy drinks with friends. Now's the time to find an outdoor spot with this fantastic weather. Here are some of my favorites:
  • Vinoteca: Nothing better than sipping on spring cocktails and playing some bocce ball.
  • Masa 14: Their rooftop rocks. Take advantage of it and grab one of their amazing mojitos!
  • The Brixton: Check out their large rooftop
  • Ambar: Sip Rakia drinks on their rooftop patio.
  • Johnny's Half Shell: Suck down a cocktail during happy our and relax outside in their extra large patio.
  • El Centro D.F.: Great roof deck for drinking margaritas and sangria.
  • Standard: Great BBQ and hush puppies. Also, check out the massive beers. U Street/Shaw
  • DNV: Situated on the rooftop of Donovan House, DNV has amazing views and specialty cocktails.
  • American Ice Co: Warning: This place gets super crowded. If you manage to snag a seat, American Ice is a fun place to sit outside for BBQ and beer. Perfect spot to stop before heading to the 9:30 club.
  • POV: Fun drink scene and great views of the White House.
  • Jack Rose: Try out their amazing selection of whiskey and nice roof.
  • Bar Pilar: From classics to new creative cocktails, they have it all. Snag a table outside and sip away.
  • RedRocks: RedRocks is a cute Columbia Heights neighborhood spot that is great to enjoy some outside patio time. The brick oven pizza is outstanding. The patio is the perfect place to sip beer and eat pizza.
