Thinking of Drinking: Champagne Cocktails for The Oscars

Break out the bubbly!  Try my Italian Kiss Cocktail or 11 Pipers Piping featured in the Capital Cooking Cookbook.  Add some sparkle to your evening while watching the winners.

2 shots DiSaronno amaretto
Orange Juice
Maraschino Cherries

Pour 1 shot of amaretto into each champagne flute. Fill flute with champagne but leave a little room at the top. Put a splash of orange juice in each glass. Garnish with cherries.  Serves 2.

Or how about a French 75...

1 shot Beefeater 24 Gin
1 teaspoon Wholesome Agave Syrup
1/2 ounce lemon juice

Shake first three ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice.  Strain into champagne flutes and top with champagne.  Cheers!

Kir Royale

1 shot Chambord

Chill the Chambord and put a shot in the champagne flute.  Fill with Champagne and garnish with a lemon twist.  Pretty!
