WHISKEY PERI PERI SORBET
This recipe is brought to you by Rochelle Schaetzl of Nando's Peri PeriIngredients:
2cups (500g) white sugar
1.5L water
3tbs (45ml) lemon juice
½ cup (150ml) whiskey
1tbs ( 15ml) sweet Peri Peri, strained through a fine sieve
2 egg whites
Method:
- Boil water, sugar and lemon juice in a large pot for 5 minutes until sugar is dissolved
- Add lemon juice and sweet peri peri sauce
- Cool to room temperature
- Whisk egg whites to a soft peak and fold into syrup.
- Churn in an ice cream machine until set
Makes 1l sorbet
