KC Baby!

The best part about weddings is catching up with old friends.  Last weekend, we celebrated Charlie and Jacquie Stenger's wedding day in Kansas City.  I was so excited to see one of my best friends, Jolene.  The trip started off well with an upgrade to First Class!  Yes!  Jolene picked us up and we went to meet some friends (Mark, Hannah, Kevin and Laney) at The Cashew. The Cashew has a good liquor selection and a fun atmosphere for drinks.

The next morning we realized we had a little to much fun at the bars so we needed some brunch before the wedding.  We went to The Farmhouse based on a recommendation from a woman on my flight.  The Farmhouse is a super cute spot and has great artwork.  Don't order the biscuits and gravy... they tasted like raw flour.  My eggs Benedict were good, but the eggs were overdone.  We were off to the wedding after filling our tummies.

We took a break on the way to the reception and stopped by McFadden's for a beer.  I couldn't leave KC without a Boulevard Wheat:)

After the wedding, we went next door to Quaff.  It is a bit of a dive, but convenient to weddings at Club 1000.  When I say "dive," it could be because we watched a guy puke on himself as we were leaving.  Classy!

Rise and shine and off to the infamous Swagger.  You may have seen this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives... I had to check it out and order the Dead Texan.  Yes, they make a burger with an egg on top in between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches.  I'm stuffed just thinking about it.

All in all, we had a great trip back to KC and can't wait to do it again!!
