Out to Brunch: Del Campo

Del Campo recently launched a brand new brunch.  The $45 fixed price menu is inclusive of bottomless items from the a la carte menu as well as bottomless select brunch cocktails.
My favorite dish was the bacon, egg and cheese empanadas.
Another tasty sweet item is the Cast Iron Pancake with , Maple, and Butter Ice Cream.
The Steak and Eggs Benedict is full of flavor.

All of the mimosas are delicious including:  orange, grilled grapefruit and smoked pineapple.
Both of their French press coffee selection are beautiful.  They offer:

Guatemala – Finca Los Canallitos
Sweet honey, tangerine like acidity tannic grape skins, balanced by milk chocolate
with a pillowy body.

Haiti – Mare Blanche
An heirloom typical variety, grown semi-wild in the mountains of Haiti. Superb fragrance and aroma, a balanced acidity, refined body.

To kick off the new menu, the restaurant hosted a Bloody Mary Throwdown with some of the areas top bartenders.

I loved the squid ink and pisco.
Mary Kelly, Del Campo:  Pantera-Sol de Ica Acholado Pisco, Fresh Lemon, Fish Stock, Red Onions, Celery, Squid Ink, Apple-wood Smoked Tomato Juice, Horseradish, Worcestershire Sauce, Fresh Pepper, Moldova Salt, Grilled Rocoto.

All in all, Del Campo has some great dishes, excellent service and cool brunch cocktails.
