Nothing says spring quite like an outdoor beer festival featuring over 35 breweries from the DC metro area. The air might have been a bit brisk for April, but the beer tents at Cap City's Spring Beer Festival kept the mood warm and cozy.
The event started at noon and by 2pm, the tents were filled with tasters looking for new beer flavors. Beer highlights of the afternoon included pours DC Brau's signature The Public Pale Ale, Star Hill's Soul Shine, and Three Star Brewing's Peppercorn Saison. New breweries on the scene included Raven Beer and Wild Wolf (from outside of Charlottesville, VA) pouring their Blonde Hunny, a Belgian-style blonde ale.... yum!
In addition to all the beer selections, the Cap City Spring Beer Festival featured beer snacks like kettle corn, beef jerky and mac and cheese. The perfect snacks to enjoy with beer tastings.
All in all, it was a great afternoon of sipping your way to spring.
