This July the historic Patterson Mansion in Dupont Circle will re-open its doors as a brand new luxury urban living concept. The mansion, built in 1903, has been renovated into ninety-two unique residential units.
Twenty-two of the units are in the actual mansion and seventy are connected to a newly built building. This luxurious new living concept will offer communal living spaces in the mansion, including a dining room, library, ballroom, and living area. Co-developers Saul Urban and Rooney Properties wanted to create a high-style, micro-apartment, communal living concept to connect residents inside and outside of their home.
The Ampeer Residence offers a continental breakfast in the dining room every weekday morning, as well as complimentary evening drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the ballroom. Ampeer has inviting common spaces that help residents socialize, even providing on-site social events such as book clubs and special guest authors, demonstrations and classes by D.C. chefs, wine tastings, live musical performances, and other community programming in the common spaces. Ampeer's living concept is simple: sip, savor, and study.
The flagship Ampeer offers studio and one bedroom apartments ranging from $2,800 to more than $8,000 a month. Residents can take leases from as little as three months to as much as twelve. The units are furnished and include internet, cable, and utilities. The developers believed that there was a void in the market with professionals who have short-term business trips to Washington D.C. Instead of having to stay at a hotel alone for a few months, diplomats, lawyers, politicos, and executives can reside in a comfortable and familiar living space among other professionals.
The beautiful re-design of the communal spaces of the Patterson Mansion was done by Darryl Carter, interior designer, D.C. native, and successful lawyer. The flagship Ampeer is located at 15 Dupont Circle NW. For more information about Ampeer residences, go to Ampeer. The developers are also creating another Ampeer project in the Shaw neighborhood in D.C., and hope to expand to other cities in the near future.
