Flower Child is serving healthy food for a happy world – and has just opened up in Washington D.C! The mission of Flower Child is to “spread positively delicious vibes and healthy food” in Washington D.C.
Flower Child is veggie-forward, created by made-from-scratch foods, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, meat, and paleo options. The menu includes fresh salads, grain bowls and wraps, or the option to create your own plate with multiple dishes.
A few of my favorite dishes:
Avocado Hummus:
sweet corn, radish, clementine, and pumpkin seeds, pita.
Gluten-Free Mac & Cheese
aged white cheddar, grana Padano
Mother Earth Bowl:
(I had mine with salmon!)
ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed
Yuzu Brussels Sprouts:
charred onion, savoy cabbage, golden miso
The West-Coast chain is the first of Sam Fox’s restaurants in Washington D.C, but locations in Bethesda and Tysons Corner are expected to follow
Location: 2112 Pennsylvania Ave NW Suite 101, Washington, DC 20037.
*Right next to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station!
