Thinking of Drinking: Bourbon Furnace

September is National Bourbon Heritage Month!  Fall is right around the corner.  It is time to break out the hot apple cider.  You can make this recipe in large quantities for a party in a crock pot.

Bourbon Furnace
6 ounces hot apple cider
1 T cloves
2 cinnamon sticks

Infuse the bourbon overnight with ½ of the cloves and 1 cinnamon stick. (Lauren’s Tip: It is best to make this in larger quantities.) Bring cider to a simmer in a small pot over medium-medium high heat with the remaining cinnamon stick and cloves. Strain before serving, and combine the bourbon and the cider and serve.  This will heat you up on a chilly autumn night!
