Recently Capital Cooking was invited to an adult playground known as The Iron Horse Tap Room (if you like Skeeball, Buck Hunter, and drinking this is your place), for a special preview party for California Tortilla's new burrito “The Gyro Burrito”.
This is a seasonal item that California Tortilla's loyal customers voted to bring back to the menu for a limited time. It’s a delicious mix Mediterranean and Mexican food that is made with Gyro meat, creamy tzatziki sauce, fresh feta cheese, and topped with pepperoni peppers, Mexican rice, and romaine lettuce. Personally it’s a combination of two of my favorite cuisines so I was an instant fan especially when I topped with with their signature hot sauce. Give it a try next time your in the mood for a little change of pace.
