Around the Globe: La Roca

The rain didn't spoil our first night in Cabo, Mexico.  We headed into the Grand Solmar's lovely restaurant, La Roca, for a special tasting menu for the Capital Cooking crew.  

Executive Chef Hector Lucas wowed us with his Mediterranean menu. 

Leek and Potato Soup With baby scallops and garlic crouton

Fresh Field Greens Salad With cherry tomato, red onions, panela cheese and vanilla dressing
Pacific Pan Seared Sea Bass With creamy risotto, grilled vegetables, and touch of aged Cabernet wine vinegar


Tenderloin Beef Filet With cactus paddle salad, fresh panela cheese, red onion sautéed with aged balsamic, vinegar



Tres Leches Cake, Tiramisu, and Banana and Hibiscus Sorbet

The staff at the hotel and restaurant were terrific.  I hope to visit again someday soon!  Get ready for Capital Cooking's Cabo Adventure coming soon.
