First Taste: Malmaison

Initial Thoughts:
  • Design and Decor: Super comfortable chairs and open setting. Cute atmosphere and fun vibe.
  • Food:  Simple French Elegance
  • Drinks: I loved the Garden Gimlet.
  • Would I go back?  Yes. I'd love to check out the brunch.

Malmaison is a little off the beaten path near the Georgetown waterfront.  The best part about the location is the ample parking spaces.  Overall, we had a nice experience at the restaurant.
The shrimp appetizer was my favorite.  The jumbo shrimp are cooked to perfection.  For the main dish, go with the duck confit.
The duck confit melts in your mouth and falls off the bone.  Even the potatoes have great flavor.
Don't leave without ordering the Garden Gimlet.

Make it a sweet ending with the Mango Tart.

If you like Malmaison, be sure to check out their sister restaurants:  Napoleon Bistro and Cafe Bonaparte.
