Uncorked: Tom Gore

It’s officially summer, but it’s not too late to get the garden ready to grow fresh ingredients and make the most of your farmer’s market finds.

When winemaker Tom Gore isn’t in the vineyards, he loves spending time at home in his back yard micro-farm, growing fresh produce to use in the kitchen. Tom’s wines reflect the work he does in the field, and are crafted to showcase each varietal in a food friendly, approachable style, pairing perfectly with farm-fresh dishes:

· 2015 Tom Gore Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc ($12.99) - Bright citrus, lime and tangerine aromas carry through the palate, finishing out with crisp acidity and touch of minerality. These fresh flavors make it a great summertime match with fresh rosemary shrimp off the grill.

· 2014 Tom Gore Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon ($14.99) – This delicious, lighter red wine boasts aromas of cherry and currant with notes of dark chocolate and mocha. Tom recommends pairing with oregano roasted chicken and hearty grilled meats.

Hope you're enjoying the summer!  Cheers!
