Recipe: Awaze Tibs

DC is filled with lots of delicious Ethiopian restaurants.  This recipe was featured on Capital Cooking's Ethiopian Cuisine Episode.
From Etete Restaurant
1 lb beef, boneless cut into ½ inch cubes
1 red onion, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 fresh tomato, chopped
1 shot Ethiopian honey wine
1 tablespoon ETETE Spices
1 tablespoon Ethiopian butter
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 ginger, crushed
1 cardamom pod, crushed (KORERIMA)
2 tablespoon AWAZE (berbere paste)
  
Cooking time: about 15 minutes

1. In a medium mixing bowl, mix the ETETE Spices and the beef.
2. In a pan over low heat, add the butter and wait until it melts.
3. Add the chopped tomato, the chopped onion and the beef to the butter, mix well and sauté for about 10 minutes
4. Add the chopped garlic and ginger, stir for about 2 minutes
5. Add the Ethiopian honey wine; mix it well
6. Add the Awaze (berbere paste); stir for about 1 minute
7. Add ½ teaspoon cardomom and the chopped jalapeño peppers; mix well
   8. Serve on a plate with injera

  3. This looks great, but what are etete spices? Meaza is my favorite Ethiopian in the area, but I've heard terrific things about Etete.
