Thinking of Drinking: City Winery DC and Supreme Core Cider Debut Wine-Inspired Cider

City Winery DC and Supreme Core Cider have partnered together to create the perfect rose-cider for the month of love!

Because you can’t drink flowers, City Winery DC and Supreme Core Cider of Ivy City worked diligently to create the perfect winter cider, using a base of fermented local apples sourced within a two-hour drive of DC, then steeped for a month in a blend of cider-aged cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc pomace from City Winery’s grapes.

Head Winemaker Adam Drici stated, “We worked hard with Supreme Core to make Ivy City Rosé a perfect marriage of the high-quality grapes we work with, and the awesome cider they are known for. The community of beverage producers in Ivy City keeps getting stronger and everyone is so supportive of each other’s work. We put our heads together and came up with something totally original. We hope people will love drinking Ivy City Rosé as much as we loved making it.”

Now if that isn’t the best type of partnership, I don’t know what is!

Go check out these two super cool spots with your S.O. this Valentine’s Day (or have a blast drinking with the girls) and indulge in their brand-new creation.

The restaurant at City Winery Washington D.C. is open from 5pm-12am nightly, with the kitchen serving until 11pm. City Winery Washington DC is located at 1350 Okie St NE, Washington, DC 20002. City Winery strives to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience—with an incredible space for live music, a beautiful rooftop, romantic dining rooms, hip bar areas, and a private cellar and barrel room. Supreme Core Cider’s brewery-style taproom is located just five minutes from City Winery DC and creates all of their ciders from apples harvested at family-owned orchards. Supreme Core Cider is located at 2400 T Street NE, Washington, DC 20002 and is open 12-8pm Saturdays and 2-6pm Sundays.

So, why buy roses when you could buy rose?

Cheers!!
