ReplyDeleteI love short ribs! I also make them with parsnip puree and it is really good too!
ReplyDeleteMy signature dish is actually an appetizer. I am invited some place and then usually told if i don't bring it then don't come (joking of course, i hope) Buffalo Chicken Dip. If i had to choose a main course it would be my chili!

Thanks!
It's really easy and kind of "comfort-foody," but when I'm just having friends over for a laid-back meal I make lemon cream chicken pasta. It's creamy, zesty and delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good Marissa!
ReplyDeleteOven Baked Parmesan Fries with Herbs de Provence Seasoning. My husband loves it. For potluck, I usually bring cheesy spinach and artichoke dip that my in-laws always request for.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa. Please make sure you are subscribed to both blogs.
ReplyDeleteWhen entertaining, I make braised shortribs and fried chicken. I soak the chicken in buttermilk for 24 hours prior to coating. Ribs also take a good 36 hours prep, and I make my own rubs. It’s a process, yet so worth it! I prefer to create as I cook and not stick with a recipe.
ReplyDeleteI wrote on Dining in DC's blog that my signature is my Mom's Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Nut Bread - it's delicious and my friends all make it now too! Another signature is my guacamole - the trick is to add enough lime - yum
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....I think I make a lot of much more exciting dishes, but if I had to pick the one that I am consistently asked to bring EVERY time...it would have to be my Grandmother's secret Mashed potatoes. The recipe has been passed down FOREVER and they are LITERALLY super easy, and the BEST mashed potatoes you will ever eat. this fall, my squash mac 'n cheese has been a hit as well (I love all things gourd-like :-)
