Is your mouth watering? You can find this Grilled Columbia River Salmon, Morels, and a Cioppino-Shellfish Broth at DC Coast during their Coast to Coast Summer Menu Series. Take a three-month summer dining voyage featuring a four-course dinner menu for $55,
Thursday-Sunday. You'll be able to find this delicious salmon dish until the end of June. It was perfectly paired with a Pinot Noir, Domaine du Prieure from Burgundy, France 2009.
Not only was the salmon super tasty, but I loved the cucumber roll with avocado, lump crab and fried sea beans. The dessert was such a delicate ending to the meal with a Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta with Yuzu Blueberry Caramel.
If you can't make it in this month, July takes things down way south to the warm, welcoming waters of the Gulf. Fans of New Orleans will find the Gulf Coast Fritto Misto with Oysters, Shrimp, Crawfish, Bread & Butter Pickles and Spicy Créole Mustard or Pan Roasted Snapper with Rich Grits, Tasso Ham and a blessing of the Holy Trinity just
what that strong summer sun ordered.
And lastly, the summer series will
end in August with a nod to what we love here in the Mid-Atlantic all
season long. Fried Chesapeake Oysters partnered with a Sweet Corn Bacon Salad and Tomato-Basil Aioli, and Pan-Seared Skate with Corn Polenta, Sungold Tomatoes, Arugula, and Brown Butter will surely have guests toasting the East Coast, just as it is time to start bringing in our ships.
The Coast to Coast Summer Menu Series was absolutely delicious. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the pairings were lovely. Don't miss out on this fun tasting opportunity.
