Heirloom Catering and Event Design DC Launch Event

By Lauren Rosalanko

The Heirloom Catering and Event Design launch party on Thursday was a beautiful event in The Loft at 600 F Street space! Not only were the food and cocktails fantastic, but the decor was gorgeous and trendy and the local collaborators added a local touch for a perfect evening.

Five mini-versions of delicious drinks were served. I started off with the Deep Daly, featuring Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, Lemonade and Club Soda. I also tried the Basil Gimlet with Green Hat Gin, fresh basil, lime juice and simple syrup. The miniature drinks were ideal, since you had the choice to sample a few, rather than having one large drink.

The food options were immense and all quite unique. The Sweet Potato Boats featured a scallop ceviche. Another one of my favorites was the Pork Belly Cubans with Gordy's Pickles. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was also a hit and you could tell that tray was getting refilled often due to its popularity! My favorite of the evening was the Waffle Cones with Buttermilk Chicken and pickled peach. All of the Boutique Bites brought something knew, compared to your typical small bites. An added bonus was that most of them we easy to eat and didn't create a mess, which is definitely important for finger food!

The event also featured Typecase Industries, who provided printing for a beautiful poster for guests to take home, as well as the drink coasters at the event, featured in the second picture above. Heirloom Catering and Event Design would be the perfect catering option for any event. With their array of drinks, Boutique Bites, stylish desserts and fancy decor they are a step above the catering industry with a innovative, tasteful style.
