Uncorked: Rose et Or

Rosé all day? Yes, please!  Do you love rosé  as much as I do?

Château Minuty has produced quintessential Provençal rosé wines for three generations. This month, the winery, which sits nestled away on the St Tropez peninsula, debuts the 2018 vintage of Rose et Or. This alluring estate-grown wine not only represents the glamour and luxurious lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur, and is poured seaside at some of the top beach club destinations on the French Riviera, including La Plage des Salins, Club 55, and Tahiti Beach, Rose et Or’s complexity, concentration of aromas and intense freshness contributes to its reputation as the “champagne” of rosé.

A standout in Minuty’s salmon-hued offerings, Rose et Or (SRP $40; available nationwide) is an elevated option for summer savoring. The wine delivers aromas of intense citrus fruit and white flower notes while tempting the palette with pink grapefruit and white peach flavors. Showcasing enormous versatility, Minuty Rose et Or has a delicate freshness, elegance and sophistication that makes it the perfect aperitif or pairing for light summer fare, such as tuna tartare and strawberry salad with basil.

Founded in the 19th century and managed today by the founder’s grandsons, François and his brother Jean-Etienne, Château Minuty is the last estate in the Côtes de Provence to harvest their grapes entirely by hand to guard the quality of the grapes. Minuty rosés are grown utilizing sustainable practices, and free of any chemicals to obtain the best purity of fruit.

Cheers!
