Events: Eat Spain Up! Washington D.C. Events from Sept. 21 till October 29th


On Thursday, September 21st Eat Spain Up!, a program and gallery that explores Spanish regions and brings together the food and culture of Spain to Washington D.C., opened to the public at the Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain. Through the month of October, Washington D.C. audiences have the opportunity to dive into Spanish culture, culinary traditions, and new gastronomic innovations. The events this month explore Spain through its food, and is accompanied by two visual exhibits by renowned graphic designer and artist Manuel Estrada. 



On Thursday night, Spanish designer Manuel Estrada shared his personal creative processes of the Estrada Design Kitchen exhibit and Spain's Eleven gastronomy icons exhibit. Estrada founded his own graphic design firm in 1989, is the Chairman of Association of Designers in Madrid, a member of the Higher Arts Education Council of Spain, and has been presented with numerous design awards, including the National Design Award 2017. After the lecture, guests enjoyed Spanish fair from Jaleo, Taberna del Albardero, Boqueria, Pamplona Mola, and the Eat Spain Up! guest regions. 


The Eat Spain Up! gallery at the Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain is showcasing the Spain's Eleven exhibit and the Estrada Kitchen exhibit from September 21 to October 29th. The exhibits are free, and open from Thursday to Sunday from 12pm-6pm. Along with these exhibits, the Eat Spain Up! program this month includes discussions, screenings, lectures, of course lots of Spanish food, and much more!
