Cochon555 invaded the District for an evening of pork-centric fun. The national tour set up shop at The Liaison Hotel on The Hill.

Congratulations to Deidree Bennett and Rachel Pryor who have each won two tickets to the Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show this weekend, November 13-14, 2010 at the Washington Convention Center. Rachel was chosen randomly from Capital Cooking’s comments and Deidree Bennett was chosen randomly from Dining in DC’s comments.

Both winners have won two passes to the show and be showered with goodies from the cooking show vendors, signed autographs and photos with DC’s best notable chefs, depending on day of attendance, Chef Mike Isabella, Nicholas Stefanelli, Chris Ford, Todd Gray and others! Signed cookbooks by cooking show demonstrators, including The Sipping Point and Sunday in the South, and more! 

Deidree will meet the hunky Chef Nick Stefanelli from Bibiana and Top Chef Allstars contestant, and Victor Albisu from BLT Steak!

Rachel will meet Todd Gray from Equinox, Mike Isabella, another Top Chef Allstar, and Chris Ford from Trummer’s on Main. Not too shabby, Ladies!

Tickets can be purchased online. Also, when you’re at the show, make sure to stop in to see me between 12:30-1p.m. for my spectacular Holiday Cocktail Demonstration.

More Prizes: Meet and Greet with Chef Mike Isabella!

So by now, hopefully you've heard about our awesome 2010 Metro Show Give-Away.  We are really excited to add a special Meet and Greet with Chef Mike Isabella.  Mike is well known for being on Top Chef and is also opening a new restaurant called Graffiato in the Spring of 2011.  Graffiato's menu will reflect simple meals Mike grew up eating prepared by his grandmother, including stuffed pastas and wood-fired pizza.  

Mike is doing a demonstration at the Metro Show on Saturday, November 13th at 2 p.m.  Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!

Spike's We, The Pizza restaurant officially opens July 19th.  We had a great time at the party.

We mingled with lots of Top Chef Alums including Carla Hall.  I also had fun hanging out with my friend Vanessa from DC on Heels.

Mike Isabella stopped in to congratulate Spike as well.  He told me that he's working on a new restaurant, but wouldn't spill the details.

Upstairs dining similar to Good Stuff, but with even more space.  Overall, the party was a huge success.  I can't wait to go back for more.  The pizza is good and the gelato is creamy.  Check it out for yourselves on July 19th!
