Arlington Farmer's Market and Polyface Farm

I recently finished reading Michael Pollan's book, The Omnivore's Dilemma on my flight home from St. Thomas. In the book, there was a great section about Polyface Farms. Lucky for us living in DC, we can actually purchase the food grown and raised by by Joel Salatin. The products are available to us thanks to Bev Eggleston and EcoFriendly Foods. EcoFriendly Foods is a company that was founded by Bev Eggleston, a protégé of Joel Salatin. They continue to foster public awareness of the benefits of “grass-grown” animal products by expanding distribution to restaurants, farmers’ markets and home buying clubs in the Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina areas. http://www.ecofriendly.com. We can go to the Arlington Farmer's Market to purchase the products. http://www.arlingtonfarmersmarket.com/default.shtml. I also learned about CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). I want to try to subscribe to a group. I'll provide more information on this in a future post.
