Eatonville

Another new restaurant that will open in my building soon is Eatonville, a Southern-oriented restaurant that pays homage to Zora Neale Hurston. I've been looking through the windows and the art on the walls looks nice. The U Street Corridor is really expanding and it is a fun place to live. Andy Shallal also owns Busboys and Poets.   Eatonville has a cute patio for outdoor seating and some of the best fried green tomatoes in town.  I also LOVE the macaroni and cheese.  U Street is getting a bit overloaded with Southern style restaurants, but Eatonville is a nice addition.
