Overview: Cafe Dupont

Café Dupont introduces creative additions to the menu each season designed by Executive Chef Silvan Kraemer.

Chef Silvan started working in the kitchen at the age of 15 in Switzerland and has a diverse culinary background.  He went to Dubai for the pre-opening for the Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts. Then he moved on to cook in Ireland for a renovation of a hotel in Cork as executive chef when it developed from a four- to a five-star hotel. After that, he went to the Essex House in New York just before he was offered the position of executive chef at Cafe Dupont.
Sit on the patio and enjoy one of Cafe Dupont's signature cocktails including, Alan's Love with sweet and sour flavor and refreshing cucumbers.
You'll love the Salad de homard that combines the crunch from the panko crusted lobster claw with the freshness of the cold lobster salad with apple celery remoulade.
The Mussels Dupont are delicious with cream, chorizo, garlic and onion.
We loved the veal chop over creamy polenta.
Save room for dessert as the extensive menu offers an assortment of delectable traditional desserts with a hint of French ambiance.  Several highlights include the palate-pleasing Variations de Chocolat,  the six ways of chocolate dessert includes chocolate sponge cake with Gianduja chocolate ganache and dacquoise, chocolate mousse, chocolate covered hazelnuts, chocolate sauce and a crispy chocolate tuile. My favorite was the apple fritter.
Check out Cafe Dupont and enjoy the people-watching patio and cuisine suited for the fashionable neighborhood and eclectic atmosphere.
