Eat With Your Eyes: Egg and Bacon Sandwich

Is your mouth watering? It should be. You can find this gourmet take on a bacon and egg sandwich served open-faced with juicy hunks of Pork Belly and a duck egg on rustic bread at Jack Rose Dining Saloon for $11.

If you're like me, you may have frequented this establish many times for their vast whiskey selection or roof top drinks. What you may not have realized is that Jack Rose has yummy brunch food. One of my favorites was the Chilaquiles with Gouda  caramelized onions, chorizo, tomatillo and creme fraiche. Try Sammy K's Cured Salmon Flatbread creation with wild Atlantic salmon, lemon, creme fraiche, capers and caramelized onions. For the sweet tooth breakfast goers, you'll enjoy the Vanilla French Toast with a bourbon pecan caramel sauce and housemade ricotta. Don't leave without diving into their brunch cocktails.
I liked the Afternoon Delight with Beefeater Gin, Diep 9 Passion Fruit Genever and lemon juice, topped with brut Champagne and a white rose petal.  Let Jack Rose cure your hangover from Saturday night with their new Sunday brunch.
