Summertime means picnics, barbecues and beer. So why not enjoy it without having to lift a finger at Big Buns' summer beer dinner series. Throughout the summer, Big Buns is hosting three, five course dinners paired with delicious craft brews in a casual patio dining experience.
The first dinner, Junetoberfest, featured Flying Dog brews served with casual fare such as bratwurst, bison burgers, and crab cakes. The brats, served on a pretzel bun with fresh sauerkraut were spicy and delicious.
One of my favorite courses was the crab cake paired with Flying Dog's Dead Rise, a summer ale with a hint of Old Bay seasoning -- a perfect match. I'd have to lying though if I didn't admit that I could have eaten the beer-battered onion rings served with Sriracha mayo all night long.
Keeping with the casual dining experience, desert brought back a tried and true treat -- a brownie with ice cream, topped with crumbled waffle cone and drizzled with caramel. Served with the Woody Creek Belgian White, the final course was a great way to end a summer evening on the patio.
Feeling tempted? Luckily, there are still tickets available for the dinners in July and August featuring Hardywood and DC Brau. It's a night of relaxed patio dining with delicious food and outstanding beer you won't want to miss!
