The Gibson is celebrating National Martini Day this Thursday, June 19 from 6-9pm. Enjoy $10 martinis created by The Gibson's Frankie Jones and Jo-Jo Valenzuela from City Tap Room. Also on the docket: pop-up performances throughout the night featuring Artful Presentations and a few other surprises. 6/20: The gates to Hill Country’s Backyard Barbecue – a unique outdoor experience on the spacious and picturesque West Lawn of the National Building Museum (401 F Street, NW; www.nbm.org;202.272.2448) are hosting the popular summer-long event that will feature Hill Country’s award-winning Texas-style barbecue, ice-cold beers and signature cocktails, as well as games and live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights through August 30.

The Park Hyatt Washington will host their Masters of Food and Wine, a seasonal culinary & beverage experience on Saturday, June 21, saluting the ingredients, flavors, and talents of local chefs, regional artisans and sommeliers. This special Park Hyatt Masters event will include a heart-healthy brunch prepared by Park Hyatt Washington Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault and special guests Executive Chef Jeremy Bearman and Culinary Nutritionist Kristy Del Coro of New York’s Michelin-starred Rouge Tomate. Priced at $75 per person (all inclusive), the menu will highlight carefully sourced, nutritious items from local farmers. Guests will also have an opportunity to learn the unique philosophy of SPE (“Health Through Food” in Latin), while interacting with Chef Bearman and Nutritionist Del Coro.

6/23: Ever wanted to taste a wine but didn’t want to remove the cork, thus opening the entire bottle? Then this class is for you! Presented by the G and Kapnos team, G by Mike Isabella has partnered with the makers of Coravin, a revolutionary new piece of technology that allows guests to sample wine without removing the cork. This class will show participants just how to do that by sampling four wines and enjoying a spread of antipasti including Buffalo mozzarella, roasted spring vegetables, a selection of hams, and more. 6/24: Tuesdays are getting livelier this summer in Dupont Circle! Bar Dupont at The Dupont Circle Hotel has launched Dupont Live!, a weekly concert series held every Tuesday from 7-9:30pm on the bar’s popular outdoor patio.
