On the Road Again: Cape May

The first stop on our Northeast get-away was Cape May, NJ.

How to Get There:  The ride up north was smooth sailing thanks to the Cadillac Escalade.  Luxury at its finest.  The Escalade dominated the highway and was great for loading up your belongings for the trip.
Where to Stay:  Cape May is filled with Bed and Breakfast houses.  We ended up at the Windward House.  The location was great, but the decor was a bit creepy.
Benefits:  Nice roof deck to watch the sunsets and tasty breakfast in the morning.
Negatives:  Mannequins everywhere.

Where to Eat:  The food we tried was pretty average, but I always love Kohr Brothers Custard for dessert.  The Cape May Fish Market actually had some yummy clam strips and a tasty lobster roll.  I'd skip the Pilot House.  The staff was very nice, but the food was only okay.  They do have live music, so that might be worth a stop.

What to Do:  Cape May is such a charming and quaint town with cute shopping and pretty beaches.  We were there to relax and enjoy.  Looks like the perfect place for a family vacation.
