Uncorked: 2015 Guigal Wines Released

Guigal Wine Cotes du Rhone
Guigal has done it again with the recently released 2015 vintage.  These wines are boasting of a harmony of fruit and the perfect tannins.

· 2015 Côtes du Rhône Rouge ($15; and in magnum(!) for $35) – One of the world’s best value red wines made in the Northern Rhône style forgoes a traditional, lighter-style Grenache-based blend for a focus on bold Syrah. It is an especially full bodied, intense red with an exceptional value for the price. Enjoy this aromatically intense red with BBQ flavors and spices at your next magnum-sized backyard gathering.

· 2015 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge ($25) – This wine is a gateway to luxury wine with an approachable price tag. Using the Northern Rhône’s signature varietal, Syrah, the Crozes-Hermitage evokes wonderful warm flavors of red and black fruit and the typical Syrah pepper, spice and savory notes. Pairs perfectly with red meats and cheese.

· 2015 Saint-Joseph Rouge ($35) – Layered with flavors of red berries and oak aromas, the Saint-Joseph Rouge is more supple and gentler than the Crozes-Hermitage but still boasts spectacular elegance and complexity. Delicately balanced, this wine pairs with grilled meat or can be enjoyed on its own.

Grab these Northern Rhone wines with both hands and don’t let go!

Try pairing with the Wellington Burger.
