Behind-The-Bistro: Courtyard Marriott

Eat, drink, and connect: The Bistro at Courtyard by Marriott can satisfy all 3 in one spot “for any business or leisure travelers who are motivated by success and enjoy the break from routine.” As a food enthusiast and an avid traveler, I had the opportunity to take a backstage pass as a panelist on Behind-The-Bistro Food Experience to see just what this cutting edge space has to offer. Whether you’re a frequent traveling executive or a family with kids, The Bistro is sure to satisfy all taste buds!

At The Bistro, start off by giving your morning the healthy start: egg whites, savory turkey Canadian bacon, spinach, and melted havarti on an English muffin. Or another healthy choice-  warm apple cranberry oatmeal, a hot Starbucks coffee, or a grab-and-go fresh muffin or bagel.

Staying for lunch? Keep your day going with a chilled Asian Chicken salad with just the right amount of crunch in the cucumbers and peanuts, a French dip sandwich with aged cheddar and dipping jus, or the vegetarian option – the falafel wrap with the perfect amount of  tzatziki and hummus.

Working through dinner?  Not a problem. Print your boarding pass while ending the day with a mouthwatering turkey burger, topped with crisp lettuce and tomato, a spicy chicken and spinach flat bread, or don’t forget to add a classic beverage or refreshing summer cocktail with any meal and make room for dessert!

It’s hard to pass my personal favorite:  the indulgent sweet and creamy apple tart for dessert, topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled in caramel.
I liked the Lemon Drop cocktail, but I was a little disappointed when they told me it came from a mix.  The DC Bistro also offers a crab cake.
