One Lounge has all the essentials for a great night out – good food, strong drinks and plenty of room to chat with your date or dance the night away. The space is divided up into several candle-lit rooms with cozy sitting areas around every corner. The mismatched chairs, oriental rugs and crown molding throughout the lounge make you feel like you’ve stumbled into someone’s house party. (The ultimate house party with lots of attractive people and all the vodka you could ever need.)
- Seasonal Vegetables: French green beans, asparagus, tear-drop tomatoes and walnuts with Mediterranean goat cheese and a red wine vinaigrette
- Vegetable Orzo Paella with carrots, peas, tomatoes, lima beans and white Balsamic vinaigrette
- Sautéed Shrimp tossed in Penne Pasta with black olives, sun-dried tomatoes and basil in a white wine vinaigrette; served chilled
Capital Cooking spoke with co-owner Seth McClelland about what makes One Lounge different from other places in the city.
“We wanted to give people a true lounge experience, not just a nightclub or bar. You can come and have a great meal, the kitchen is open late and there’s great music but you don’t have to yell at the person across the table for them to hear you. You’ll never pay a cover, there are no promoters and no table minimums.”
One Lounge is also a great place to host events. They have four options for private or semi-private parties.
