On Thursday, September 6th, Georgetown BID hosted it's annual soiree of style. Fashionistas, savvy shoppers, and red carpet lovers alike flock to M Street to see and be seen at Fashions Night Out. This was my third time attending this celebration of style and this year those FNO pedicabs were busier than ever, I really saw proof that the people of the District love style!
And why not? There was something stylin' for everyone! A white tent at the Dean and Deluca courtyard housed a lively party where you could enjoy an alcoholic beverage, Smart Water or Vitamin Water while jamming out to an awesome DJ and people watching or mingling. Also set up in the tent were professional makeup artists giving on the spot make overs. In front of the tent and on sporadic spots of sidewalk along the street were FNO backdrops where you could strut your stuff for the camera to get a celebrity inspired photo souvenir of the evening. Every store from H and M to Cusp pulled out all the stops to make it a special night for shoppers with discounts, complementary stylist consultations, and other great offers.

For the fashionable foodies, most of the Georgetown restaurant scene was getting in on the action as well. Georgetown Cupcake offered a free specialty FNO cupcake to each customer from 6-11 PM. Sequoia, Bandolero, Daily Grill and many more featured a specialty fashion-inspired cocktail for thirsty shoppers.
If you missed out this year, check in with the Georgetown FNO website for details on next year's event. I already can't wait!
