The 2013 RAMMYS Theme is Revealed

Members of the media and the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington gathered at Fujimar on Monday evening for the unveiling of the 2013 RAMMYS theme and logo.

Video highlight's from last year's RAMMYS rotated on a series of screens lining the upper level of Fujimar before they revealed the theme of the 2013 RAMMYS: "Restaurants in Bloom." RAMW president, Kathy Hollinger, announced this year's theme, stating how "in bloom" accurately reflects the current state of the DC restaurant scene. (If you are familiar with the RAMMYS, you know that the Awards Gala is as much about fashion as it is about food. Does this year's theme mean the return of the corsage?!)

Before (and after) the RAMMYS theme was announced, guests were able to enjoy a variety of bites, including sliders, sushi, chicken, beef, and shrimp skewers, and a selection of cheese, crackers, and meat.

Formed to unite, represent, and promote restaurants and the regional food service industry, the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington hosts the annual RAMMY Award Gala to honor the outstanding accomplishments of the individuals and organization's of the region's restaurants and food service community. RAMMY nominees in 18 categories will be announced on March 19, with the RAMMYS returning to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
