Seventh Annual Charity Wine Tasting -This Thursday at the Embassy of Argentina, enjoy delightful Argentine wines for a great cause! Centro Argentino is pleased to host it's 7th Annual Charity Wine Tasting on Thursday May 8th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The tasting event will feature more than 30 varieties of wine and typical Argentine empanadas. It's the perfect event to sip wine and raise funds to support education projects. Tickets are $40 online in advance or at the door. DC’s favorite farmer’s market, Capital Harvest on the Plaza (CHoP) is back for another season, beginning Friday, May 9th. CHoP has been offering up the area’s finest fruits, vegetables, flowers and more since 2009. The market is open Fridays spring through fall from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the corner of 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The first ever sideshow extravaganza, Side Yards, will hit Yards Park on Saturday, May 10, from 5PM-10PM. Three side stages of entertainment will showcase the absurd talents of contortionists, fire breathers, magicians, jugglers, sword swallowers and more. The Saturday event will also include live sets from DC's ringmasters of music: Drop Electric, Shark Week, and U.S. Royalty. Snacks on the boardwalk (including Dangerously Delicious Pies), a photo booth, body painter, fortuneteller, and beer garden by Bluejacket Brewery and Tavern will round out the evening’s carnival delights.

Chef's Best Dinner & Auction: On Tuesday, May 13th, more than 1,500 guests will enjoy tastings from 60 of the region's brightest culinary stars while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support children and adults facing HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses. In addition to a menu filled with one-of-a-kind delights, you'll enjoy bidding on live and silent auctions featuring travel opportunities and other great adventures.

Alba Osteria will be offering a culinary adventure with award-winning wines form Manincor Wine Estate, located in the Alto Adige region of Northern Italy. Producer Matthias Jaeger is passionate about wines and will lead the evening with wine discussion. Wednesday May 14th, Wine Tasting Event from 6 PM to 7 PM, followed by Winner Dinner Event at 7:30 PM. Limited seating is available and reservations are required for the two separate events.
