Titanic: The Untold Story Events by Nat Geo

Checking out the new exhibit Titanic: The Untold Story at National Geographic's After-Hours event, “Taste of Titanic” was incredible! Each National Geographic After-Hours event is a chance to explore Nat Geo's popular exhibits, and hear from Nat Geo explorers, while enjoying live music, delicious D.C. eats, and indulging at the bar.

You may have missed Taste of Titanic, but Nat Geo is putting on four more Titanic-related events you can attend. Details are provided below. Definitely don’t miss the party with #BrightestYoungThings on September 21st! Tickets for all of these events can be purchased here.

Taste of Titanic had delicious titanic-themed dishes and beverages created from popular D.C. restaurants. My favorite dish of the night was the delicious Oysters from Hank’s Oyster Bar! Have you been to their new location on the Wharf? Check it out here.

The new exhibit was incredible to peruse while attending the party and sipping on an era-themed cocktail. My favorite drink of the night had frozen white sorbet—like an iceberg—floating in the middle of my martini glass…YUM!

The exhibit opened on May 30, 2018 and goes until January 1, 2019. The museum will guide you through the height of transatlantic steamship travel, will explain the untold story of the link between a Cold War mission and the 1985 discovery of the sunken Titanic by legendary oceanographer and National Geographic Explorer-at-Large Robert Ballard.

The exhibit features remarkable images and artifacts, like the coat worn by Titanic survivor Marion Wright Woolcott, and never-before-exhibited ship and expedition memorabilia, including the 8,000-pound crew module from the submersible Ballard and team used to survey the shipwreck.
