The Smithsonian Food History Weekend is back and has so many awesome events to check out – including “Last Call,” a Saturday night of beer history. Join us on the first Saturday of November at the National Museum of American History and use our code to get $5 off your ticket!

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, the home of Julia Child’s kitchen, will host its fourth annual Food History Weekend Nov. 1–3! The foodie weekend will have four incredible events (some free and some ticketed) with cooking demonstrations, conversations, hands-on activities, book signings and displays.

On November 3rd, 2018, the National Museum of American History is putting on their biggest beer history public programming. The night will bring together brewers, historians and other experts that will be led by the museum's brewing historian, Theresa McCulla, about the importance of region in beer.

Get your tickets today and use our special code – BREWING – for $5 off each ticket. Tickets include a panel discussion, beer tastings, delicious seasonal bites, and a rarely-seen collection of objects out of storage. Purchase tickets here!

Participating breweries and their craft beers to taste at the event include:

New Glarus Brewing Co., New Glarus, WI [Spotted Cow and Wisconsin Belgian Red, brewed with Door County cherries]
Bow & Arrow Brewing Co., Albuquerque, NM [“Dream Mesa” Golden Sour with Navajo Tea and “Denim Tux” Blue Corn Lager]
Scratch Brewing Co., Ava, IL [Blackberry Lavender (sour ale brewed without hops) and Maple (part of their sap series; they replace the brewing liquor with maple sap)]
Cajun Fire Brewing Co., New Orleans, LA [Big Chief Crème Stout and Honey, brewed with clover honey]

And don’t worry! Themed snacks and tastings by the museum's chef, Stephen Kerschner, will be sprinkled throughout the event, including Butternut Squash and Black Bean Mole, Pizza Crostinis, Cajun Crab and Crawfish Fritters, and Mini Chocolate Stout Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream. YUM!
