Book Review: The Homesteader's Kitchen

Initial Thoughts:
  • Photos:  Some photos of ingredients, but I wish there were more of the finished dishes.
  • Recipes:  Lots of healthy recipes using fresh ingredients.  Most are accessible
Ever wondered what you would like to do with all those fresh fruits, vegetables and other goodies you find at the farmers market? Robin Burnside prepares a practical guide on tips and how-to’s for taking those healthy finds and making easy, delicious meals.

The author introduces the recipes in a way that recognizes the connection between body, mind, emotions, environment, and attitude. Since what we eat has a considerable effect on our well-being, this approach to dining takes into account all that goes into the care of feeding humans, including the benefits and consequences of our choices.  The Ricotta Cheesecake sounds really good!
