There's No Place like Home: Kitchen Conservatory

There's nothing better than taking a trip back to my hometown, St. Louis.

This trip was especially cool because I got to teach a cooking class with my friend Rocky Fino at the Kitchen Conservatory

Kitchen Conservatory is an awesome spot in Clayton to pick up some cooking tools and take a cooking class.

There is such a great selection of products.  Rocky and I taught a class, "He Said, She Said."  The class highlighted our different styles of cooking and we had a blast teaching it.

She Said:  Blackberry Lemonade Cooler

He Said:  Seared Scallops with a Mango Puree

She Said: Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Salad

He Said:  Grilled Pork Shoulder with Cilantro Horseradish Dipping Sauce

She Said:  Grilled Vegetable Ratatouille with Pork Barrel BBQ Rub (p. 82 of the Capital Cooking Cookbook)

He Said:  Roasted Figs with Goat Cheese, Honey and Peach Ice Cream

The class said, "YUM!"
Thanks Mom!  Thanks to all of the students who attended and to Kitchen Conservatory for having us!

The Capital Cooking Cookbook is now available at Kitchen Conservatory in St. Louis so pick up your copy today!
