Contrary to popular belief, the holiday season is more than lots of drinking and eating. It is about drinking, eating, and helping those less fortunate. That's why the 2nd anniversary of One Lounge in Dupont was such a good time and roaring success. The silent auctions and a toy drive helped owners Niko Papademetriou and Seth McClelland raise over $3,000 and collect over 150 toys all which benefited the Washington Children's Hospital.
One Lounge is located in Dupont Circle and is a restaurant until 10pm, and then a lounge for the rest of the night. There are 5 unique rooms, separate dance floors, and 2 full service bars. The food I tasted included olive tapenade stuffed mushrooms, seared sea scallops, baby lamb chops, junior bacon cheeseburgers and french fries. Everything was delicious especially the the stuffed mushrooms and french fries.
The highlight of the night for myself and my group was the personal Moet Champagne bottles which flowed liberally throughout the evening. I enjoyed myself so much that I actually made it back to One Lounge over the weekend and enjoyed their happy hour specials of $2 Tecate.
