Friday:

DC Drive-In at Union Market: Union Market will be hosting the inaugural “DC Drive-In,” an outdoor summer movie series starting on Friday, July 12. Over the summer, come watch classic Washington D.C.- centric films on Union Market’s 3-story wall. Pre-show festivities will include music, contests and special giveaways and movies will begin at 9pm. A variety of Union Market vendors will also participate, serving food, drinks and fun snacks. The DC Drive-In is free to attend, however reservations are suggested for cars. There will also be a picnic area in the parking lot for bikers and walkers – no reservations are required for the picnic area. The schedule for the DC Drive-In is as follows:

Bayou Bakery’s Crawfish Boil Season Finale: End crawfish season with a bang with New Orleans native, chef David Guas' Crawfish Boil Season Finale on Saturday, July 13 at Bayou Bakery. The finale is free to attend, and live music compliments of Laissez Four jazz quartet will get things rocking from 5-7pm. The Crawfish Boil, seasoned with Louisiana spices and boiled with peppery New Potatoes and Corn-on-the-Cob will be served up for $12/pound along with Peel-n-Eat Shrimp with Taters and Corn (also available by the pound). Louisiana's own Abita beer will be available as well to enjoy with the crawfish. Come help us enjoy the final flavors of crawfish season!

Celebrate Bastille Day at 2941: In celebration of France’s national holiday – ‘La Fete Nationale’ or ‘Bastille Day’ – 2941 restaurant is welcoming Francophile’s from near and far to partake in ‘A Taste of France’ – a day-long authentic French culinary celebration honoring Bastille Day - on Sunday, July 14th, 2013. The Willard continues its celebration of independence -- French independence -- on Bastille Day, July 14th, on DC’s Pennsylvania Avenue Champs Elysee!
