|BBQ Chicken Pizza|
Modern Market opened its third Washington, D.C. area location at 1010 Vermont Ave. NW in the nation’s capital. The newest restaurant joins the Bethesda Row and Rockville, Md. locations, and makes 23 total units for the company. The ingredients are extremely fresh! I especially liked the BBQ chicken pizza.

By making food from scratch, Modern Market avoids added sugar and bad fats, and through attention to sourcing, they rule out chemicals and dangerous ingredients no one can pronounce. (The company searched for two years to find pickles that did not contain sodium benzoate.)
Beyond handmade soups and fresh salads packed with superfoods, Modern Market serves homestyle platters: a perfectly balanced plate of protein, vegetable and starch. Expect toasted sandwiches on Lyon Bakery bread and brick oven pizza made with a high protein crust and cheese without the chemicals. . All Modern Market entrees cost around $10.

About Modern Market
Fast food can be good food. That idea led to the creation of Modern Market in Boulder, Colo. in 2009. It took two people with zero restaurant experience to figure out that you could serve healthy, scratch-made fare for reasonable prices in a beautiful environment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner rule the day at Modern Market with a broad menu of farm-to-table food that tastes even better than it looks.
The company aims to bring healthy, sustainable dining to the masses. With locations in Colorado, Texas, D.C. Metro, and (soon) Arizona they are just getting started. Look for Modern Market in your neighborhood soon.
