A new spot has opened up on the Capital Riverfront for you to get your pizza and beer fix: All Purpose Pizzeria. The delicious Italian-American Restaurant first opened up in Shaw, and in 2016 won No. 1 Favorite D.C. Restaurant in the Washington Post Fall Dining Guide.
The Navy Yard location has a beautiful outside garden patio and rooftop views of the riverfront. Inside, the interior design is super trendy, with white-stone marble, floor-to-ceiling windows, and wood table accents.
The pizzeria has a wide variety of interesting deck-oven pizzas to try (I recommend the Rockaway Pizza with clams!) and absolutely delicious appetizers and desserts. My fave apps of the night would have to be the Fried Garlic Knots and the Fresh Ricotta ‘Bruschetta’. The Garlic Knots were probably the best I have ever eaten, with a side of lemon-butter and topped with chives and parm-fonduta.
Sitting on the rooftop patio, I couldn’t resist order the Italian-ice cocktails. The rooftop has a super comfortable (and insta-worthy) seating area as well as access to a full bar and food specials. The Mario Italian-Ice Cocktail was incredible with my warm pizza, apps, and friends.
I will definitely be coming back to All-Purpose Pizzeria before Nats games and after work! It’s the perfect riverfront gathering spot to relax and hang out with friends—and it’s not too expensive! Will I see you there?
All Purpose Pizzeria is located on the River at 79 Potomac Ave SE. Come out and enjoy pizza, beer, and riverfront view vibes! For more information, go to: All-Purpose Pizzeria
