One of my girlfriends is getting married this summer and a couple friends had a bridal shower for her in New York. Instead of the typical BINGO game where you are answering questions about the couple, we split into teams to see who could recreate the celebrity dresses by decorating a doll cake. FUN! What a creative idea!
Beforehand, you buy the Wilton Stand-up Doll Cake Pan Wonder Mold Kit and make enough of the cake dresses to split up in teams of 3. You can actually buy the doll cake picks here. They had all sorts of decorating tips, sprinkles and various colored icings to use.
You could probably make a large batch of your favorite butter cream icing and then divide it into bowls and add food coloring. 
Although, I thought our Lara Flynn Boyle was the best, the judges picked the bride's J-Lo as the winner. The hosts also made us personalized aprons with our initials so that we wouldn't get our clothes dirty. They served an assortment of tasty sandwiches and desserts including homemade peanut butter cups. Everyone had a great time!
