Holidays and Family

This time of year sometimes feels exhausting...traveling, planning, finding gifts... Holidays bring families together and bring back memories of childhood and provide opportunities to make new memories. Over Thanksgiving, my husband and I traveled to Iowa and were greeted by my in-laws and our favorite nephew, Cayden.

He keeps getting bigger every time we go back. He can count and even knows how to say "Santa." So cute!! We spent Thanksgiving with about 45 family members and enjoyed three large turkeys, gravy, corn pudding, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, zucchini bread, pumpkin gooey butter cake and much more. I'm still stuffed!

Friday, we made a trip to our favorite Iowa winery, Park Farms. Our favorite wine is the Mississippi Red. Saturday we went to the Turkey Bowl football game and made dinner with the family. Sunday we ordered Happy Joe's pizza. If you haven't tried it, you should try it when you get a chance. It is the best pizza around!
