Creamy ricotta spread with fig jam |
Pennsylvania 6 DC is now open for lunch in Franklin Square. The restaurant pays homage to Hotel Pennsylvania, the first social scene in Manhattan where entertainers and political players would come together over refined culinary dishes and hand-crafted cocktails. (speakeasy-style)
Pennsylvania 6 DC features a raw bar for lunch complete with oysters.
Don't miss the foie gras mousse with apple cider gelee, red onion jam, and pommery mustard.
I loved the dry aged beef carpaccio with shaved celery, violet mustard,
crispy shallots, and grana padano.
You can't leave without ordering the charred Spanish octopus with gigande beans, fennel, ‘nduja, and salsa verde.
The lunchtime sandwiches were a hit. The lobster roll is buttery and generous on the meat. It even includes a side of duck fat fries with truffle aioli.
The bucatini and clams does not disappoint. It is anything but bland and has the perfect amount of tang from the palacios chorizo.
Save room for dessert. Chocolate lovers: Rejoice! The Bolivian Chocolate Terrine with caramelized bananas, peanut butter powder,
chocolate ganache sauce, and espelette chili pepper is rich and delicious. For a lighter sweet, try the spiced apple cake with butter-toffee pecans, caramel sauce, and bourbon-vanilla gelato.
Pennsylvania 6 DC has plenty of room to accommodate large groups with more than 250 seats. This is a nice spot for a client lunch so make your resies now!
