Eating Around Town: The Dabney

Fried Sugar Toads
I've been dying to go The Dabney for quite a while now.  We were lucky enough to get a gift card as a 10th anniversary present so we really had no excuses.  It is a hard table to get and took some planning.  That said, it was well worth it.

Short Ribs
The restaurant is situated in an alley and screams "hip."  I like the open kitchen with a fire for all to watch.  Great vibe.
Carrots with Ricotta
All of the dishes are full of flavor.  Excellent cocktails and nice wine.  If it weren't so hard to get a table, I'd be back soon.
Foie Gras Parfait
They also have nice touches like the complimentary bread with molasses butter and a little cookie at the end.  All in all, this is a great spot.  Keep up the good work DC chefs!
