We'll always remember Michel Richard

On Tuesday, March 7th, the restaurant Central commemorated the late chef Michel Richard with a birthday celebration and a week-long tribute dinner featuring some of the chef's famous dishes.

The prix fixe menu is available from March 7th until March 11th. Michel Richard worked with raising money for St. Jude Children's Hospital, so a portion of the proceeds from the prix fixe menu will be donated to the hospital.

The prix fixe menu offers a four course dinner for $80, and an optional wine pairing for an extra $45.
The First Course is a smoked salmon terrine with leeks tartare on a toasted brioche, pictured above.

The Second Course is a lobster ravioli. The Third Course is Michel Richard's famous 72-hour braised short ribs. The last course features Michel's delicious cream puffs.

Central Michel Richard is located in the heart of Washington, right next to the Metro Center metro station. The restaurant has been awarded the Washingtonian Magazine Top 20 Restaurants in DC, Best New Restaurant, and Best Chef in the USA.

Central Michel Richard has a variety of other delicious food options that aren't on the prix fixe menu; including juicy sliders, Michel's famous fried chicken, fantastic seafood, Michel's chocolate bar, and other dishes to share with a group or to enjoy alone.

On Tuesday evening, the restaurant kicked off the tribute dinner with a private birthday celebration with Michel Richards friends, family, and colleagues. For two hours Michel's guests gathered to celebrate the legendary D.C. chef and eat his signature dishes.
