Live Music, Comedy & Karaoke at Buckeye + Bear

By Claire Goldman

Buckeye + Bear is now open for business serving up brisket nachos with a side of live music.  Now occupying the space once known as the Huxley, owners Ryan Seelbach and Eric Lund decided to turn their upscale nightclub into a downtown music and comedy venue.

Come for the happy hour with $2 beers and stay for a show.  Comedy on Tuesdays, live band karaoke & gong show on some Wednesdays and Fridays and a great list of musical acts for the dates in between.  If you're not in the mood for the concert, head to the other half of the restaurant which also has a full service bar, TVs, big booths and bar stools.

The menu at Buckeye + Bear is reminiscent of their sister restaurant, Shaw beer garden Takoda.  B+B serves up classics like grilled cheese, buffalo chicken dip and brisket sandwiches.
