Zambia, the Only Place Where . . .

Zambia is the only place where you can fall asleep in a riverside cottage in a bed without walls, wake up enveloped by the chorus of thousands of birds and vervet monkeys, and go to bed with the bellowing of grass-grazing hippos, the roars of lions across the river in Zimbabwe and the bone-chilling harrumphing of elephants in the dark.

Around the Globe: The Big 5

We saw rhinos within the first few minutes of our game drive at Sabi Sabi and then saw them again on almost every drive we went on in South Africa.
During our time in Africa, we hoped to see the Big 5.  The Big 5 refers to rhinos, lions, Cape Buffalo, leopards and elephants.  We saw three at Sabi Sabi and then got lucky to see the last two in Zambia.

Around the Globe: Off to Africa

As the daughter of a flight attendant, my love for travel started early.  I got a taste of U.S. and Europe travel at a young age and it whet my appetite for more.  During this journey to Africa, I'm so excited to learn about the culture and cuisine.  I can't wait to share my adventure with you.  Bon Voyage!
