The Gryphon, a
myth-inspired sports bar, made its debut in Dupont Circle just in time for
March Madness with a VIP Preview Party. Owners Tony Hudgins, David Karim and Rich
Vasey were on-hand to introduce the venue, which boasts the social
dining atmosphere of a restaurant, the heart of a pub and the view of
a stadium.

Executive Chef Joseph Evans of brother restaurant Lost Society served up towering plates of bite-sized menu highlights, including gator bites, pimento cheese stuffed pepperdews, crawfish mac-n-cheese and short ribs over creamy grits. Guests were also treated to an open bar, house-popped popcorn and Evans' signature raspberry-topped chocolate torte as they explored the warm, majestic new eatery.
The Gryphon's fully-integrated media system - including 31 televisions - ensures that college basketball fans catch every air ball and alley-oop, whether they're rooting for the favorite or the fairytale.
The Gryphon is located at 1337
